The National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System

The National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit program, created in 1972 by the Clean Water Act (CWA), helps address water pollution by regulating point sources that discharge pollutants to waters of the United States. The Algonquin Township Highway Department has a NPDES program which is viewable. We all value our beautiful environment and the Highway Department continues its commitment to making sure Algonquin Township is a beautiful place to live.
